Johnny Eblen Calls Out PFL Over Lack of Fight Booking: "Wish I Had a Fight Scheduled"

17 March 2025

Reigning Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen has publicly voiced his frustration as he continues to wait for his next fight. With PFL integrating Bellator fighters into its roster, many expected Eblen to be a central figure in the middleweight division, yet he remains without a scheduled bout.

Eblen last fought in October 2023 at PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants, where he secured a dominant win over Fabian Edwards in a rematch. Since then, the 32-year-old has been sidelined, watching as other middleweights get their opportunities. Frustrated with the lack of updates, he took to social media this week, tweeting: "Wish I had a fight scheduled 😐."

The PFL World Tournament, which replaces the league’s old playoff format, recently announced its middleweight bracket. The lineup includes former Bellator middleweight contenders such as Fabian Edwards and Aaron Jeffery, as well as former PFL light heavyweight champion Impa Kasanganay, who is moving down a division to compete at 185 pounds. Other notable names in the mix include Dalton Rosta, Mike Shipman, and Murad Ramazanov.

Despite his impressive resume and undefeated record in Bellator, Eblen has not been added to the tournament, leaving many to speculate about the PFL’s plans for him. Some fans believe he could be held back for a PFL Super Fight, while others think the organization may be struggling to find him a worthy opponent.

For now, Eblen remains in limbo, waiting to see when and where he’ll get the chance to prove himself inside the cage again.
